Project Brief
Design and build a contemporary family house within the garden curtilage of a listed building set within a conservation area.

Project Scope
Design, Planning Approval, Specification, Sourcing, Construction and Project Management.

Project Solution
An inverted, partially earth sheltered structure built largely beneath the existing garden. Vernacular materials were used to complement the existing rade II listed Town House. Design cues for the building form and W pitched zinc roof taken directly from the exisiting, surrounding buildings.

The property is set out over two levels utilising natural light to brighten the below ground spaces. The large ground floor houses three bedrooms, a reception room, large kitchen dining space, two bathrooms and a private courtyard space. There is a galleried sitiing room at first floor level leading onto roof terraces.

High specification of both exterior and interior finshes. Materials and craftsmen were sourced from the domestic and commercial arena from both the UK and Overseas.
