Project Brief
Restoration of 16th Century Grade II Listed city centre property to provide a 1,600 sq ft house over three floors.

Project Scope
Design, Planning Approval, Listed Building Consent, Specification, Sourcing, Construction and Project Management.

Project Solution
Working closely with the local authority conservation team a comprehensive repair and restoration programme was carried out to protect the fabric of the historically important building. Traditional building methods from Oak beam and post replacement to lathe and lime plaster repair were employed throughout.

The building had been in use as offices since the 1950's and required a complete overhaul with new electrics and plumbing throughout. A new, sympathetic addition was added to allow room for a modern kitchen area to the rear and the basement tanked to provide additional living space. All fireplaces were reinstated with original Georgian hob grates and fireplaces and original ironmongery and windows were painstakingly restored.
